>On Friday when Justin and I skied on Kelly Mtn, we took a few minutes to measure the snow depth. We found the average depth at 6,400 feet to be 90cm which is about 35 inches. There is a great base which is allowing us to ski most anything we dare thrash down! The snow was getting heavy and AT Hill is a bit wind blown on the top 1/3rd, but on north facing runs like Middle Earth, the trees are keeping the snow in pretty good condition.
It looks like we’re gonna be dry for the week with a chance of moisture on the weekend. As of right now now it doesn’t look like a large accumulation storm. Keep your fingers crossed though and maybe it will bring winter back!
I hope you like the new face lift at East Idaho Off-Piste! Let me know if you have suggestions to make this site more of a resource for our community. I’ve added a few links to other local resources such as the Kelly Canyon snow report and Teton AT.
