That single most important philosophy i hold on to is an ideal that without personal evolution in knowledge and/or skill set we become complacent. This can lead to being a liability to yourself and partners in the outdoors. Many of the things we like to do in the hills are dangerous. We all know this. Education and honesty in ones ability are two of the best resources in keeping us from making costly mistakes.
Learning is a life long process. It’s that time of year when we start to travel in the winter environment. I found it to be a great resource for learning new information and reviewing concepts I’ve been taught and practice in the field.
