Apparently skiing Mt Borah is quite popular! Heather and I along with seven other visitors from near and far converged at the trailhead Friday night; all with intentions of skiing the western chutes. The weather was perfect, coverage was adequate, and the snow was hard and easy to travel on in the morning hours. Despite all things aligning for us and the added excitement to be around other skiers on the mountain… we ended up turning around due to an equipment malfunction. However, we salvaged some of the efforts by skiing from 10,200′ down to the low saddle at 8,600′.
Mt Borah… we will be back… soon hopefully!
